John Everett Butt

John Everett Butt, FBA (12 April 1906 – 22 November 1965) was an English literary scholar, known for his work on Alexander Pope. He was Regius Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh from 1959 to 1965. Provided by Wikipedia
