Summary: | A dummy volume for a projected book, Sir Roger Goes A-Hunting, which the publisher, At the Sign of Gosden Head, planned to publish in 1934. Its publication did not take place. The volume planned to reprint essays by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele originally published in the Spectator periodical in 1711. The essays describe the hunting and fishing exploits of Sir Roger De Coverly, a fictional squire in England during the reign of Queen Anne.
