Summary:The collection consists of correspondence, documents, photographs, and printed material relating to the professional career and personal life of Baldwin (Princeton Class of 1884), with much of the collection reflecting the various academic positions he held as a psychologist and philosopher at Princeton, Johns Hopkins, the National University in Mexico City, the French Provincial Universities, and the Ecole des Hautes Sociales in Paris. A large part of the collection deals with the Baldwin family's experiences in World War I, particularly in the sinking of the Sussex in the English Channel in which a daughter was injured. The family settled in France in 1915
