Description
Summary:Artist Pawel Anaszkiewicz, born in Poland and living and working in Mexico since 1983, is a visual artist who makes video installations and sculptural installations. The book visualizes the process of making the video-sculpture MULETAS DEL TIEMPO. "Between September and October 2013, in an orthopedic clinic in Poland, I had two operations to implant prostheses on both sides of my hip. After each surgery, I had to stay in the same hospital under recovery treatment, exercising and learning to walk. I took advantage of this period by making a video-object entitled "Muletas del Tiempo" (Crutches of Time). My purpose was not to document the recovery process, but to produce from this experience, a piece of art with an allegorical approach to the time in rehabilitation after being dislocated. A time of crisis that establishes a new rhythm that displaces the present time and makes us face the future." (HKB Translation) --Page 9
