|a These leaves are from an early manuscript of the Sefer mitsṿot gadol, torn (near the original gutter) from a large folio codex at the center of the innermost column. The text of f. 1r shows the second half of the conspectus (רמזים) preceding the Precepts (also called the positive commandments, or עשין); the text begins with [ובמלואות ימי] טהרה לבן או לבת (no. 220) until completion of the conspectus (בעזרת מלך ישראל אתחיל ...). The text continues with the introduction to the Preceps (כשברא הקב"ה את עולמו בראו until שהחתלפתי תורה (damaged inner text column)); the subsequent leaf is from Precept 18 ([אמר אביי זמן קריעת] שמע של שחרית כוותיקין until ולא יורה באצבעותיו בפק ראשון כדי | שלא תהיו קריאתו עראי (f. 2r-v; the obligation to recite the morning Shema) and until רוחין במים (f. 2v); obligation to maintain hygiene in the Synagogue); the third folio is of two fragments, one from Precept 29 (Kiddush on the Sabbath; upper f. 3r) and 27 (Berakhot recited on breads and cakes; lower f. 3r), 28 (circumcision; upper f. 3v) and a continuation of 27 (lower f. 3v)
