Dictionaire des ouvrages anonymes et pseudonymes. 2d ed. (Paris, 1827), s.v. 23110. Attributed to Pierre Beaumarchais by Evans, who names Peter Stephen Du Ponceau as translator. Beaumarchais published a distinct work with the same title under his own name, whose imprint reads: A Londres, ä Philadelphie, 1779
