International Institute of Philosophy
The International Institute of Philosophy (''Institut International de Philosophie'' - IIP), the World Academy of Philosophers, is an international body of leading philosophers, named by election only, and limited by statute to 115 members. It has counted among its members Jean-Paul Sartre, Bertrand Russell, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Georg Henrik von Wright, Philippa Foot, Bernard Williams, Jean Wahl, Peter Strawson, Jan Patocka, Theodor Oizerman, Karl Löwith, Chen Bo, Raymond Klibansky, Tomonobu Imamichi, Giovanni Gentile, Hans-Georg Gadamer, and Ruth Barcan Marcus.
